The purpose of the Thompson Middle School Band program is to impart an appreciation of music to all of its members through successful study and performance. In addition, students are given the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for future life experiences and develop their knowledge of music that will prepare the student for the progression into the high school band program.

The Thompson Viking Band program offers a beginning band, an advanced band, and a jazz band and pep band for advanced band members. There are 70 students participating in the band program, performing at concerts, assemblies, community and athletic events throughout the year. Viking Band students are active in District Band Festival, All-District Honor Band and All-City Honor Band.

Please browse this site to learn more about the Thompson Middle School Band program.
