*Advanced Band Students:
All Advanced Band students are expected to audition in All-City Band auditions as well as All-District Band auditions.
Student participation in the audition process will satisfy Virginia's Music SOL's first strand: performance.
"The student will perform 7 major scales/the Standard 26 American Drum Rudiments from the National Association of
Rudimental Drummers (NARD), and the wind/percussion student will perform a chromatic scale." (derived from the Music
